Ive got a 94 4x4 XLT 5.0 (low miles and great shape) and was wondering how many gallons per mile on the hiway and in town everyone gets???? I know it should MPG's just thought it should be GPM's in our case is all! I drove my truck from Charlotte to Orlando recently and was scratching me knoggin on my mileage. After a couple responses Ill post just how many GPM's I got to see if its normal or not.

Assuming clear roads and driving around 60 MPH, i would expect in the neighborhood of 15 miles per gallon.

Clear roads and driving 75 to 80 on average I guess. Speed limit was 70 - 95% of the time.

That kind of speed will certainly use considerably more gas. I'm guessing 11 to 12 MPG would be expected then.

13.66 on the way down and 12.9 on the way back. Glad to know that is the norm.

I drove on I40 100miles and got 22mpg going 65mph indicated on speedometer.
Reg Cab long bed 302 V8 E4OD automatic 3.55 open rear.
