Default Front tank fuel pump removal help (pls)

Hey all, new to this forum and need some help. Recently the front tank fuel pump on my 96 f150 went out and I have been trying to get it off, issue is the quick disconnect lines on the fuel pump won't disconnect. I have used the ford specific disconnect tool and every trick I have found, and I only managed to get one off. Is there any other tricks to get it off, I have spent to last two days doing it. Is it time to just bring it to a local shop??
Thanks for any and all help!

Sometimes they come off easy, sometimes they don't. Sometimes using a different brand of tool helps .. or not.
Put penetrating fluid in there sometimes that helps. Pushing the line towards the pump while inserting the tool may help.
It's hit or miss on those things. But if you bend the tabs on the little clip inside by forcing it, it definitely won't come off. I've had to fish out the whole little locking thing inside to get one off before. You may have to do that if all else fails.
