E4OD to 4r70w swap

E4OD to 4r70w swap
I have a kind of DD and a donor truck one has e4od (build date 04/94) and donor is (8/94) with a 4r70w. Im going to swap entire running gear from donor to DD truck but I was wondering if the trans difference was a upgrade or downgrade, donor truck motor has aftermarket cam and some other engine work and trans 4r70w has a HD tq conv and a warranty so thats the reason im swapping. Is there anything I should check out or a heads up before I start tackling this project any info is greatly appreciated. This trucks sole purpose in life for me is home improvement store runs, hunting, and fishing and probably a trip or two down some min mant. roads of course.

I would think either is fine, maybe toward the 4r70w because of the warranty. The 4r70w is generally considered a light duty transmission and the E4OD a heavy duty transmission but since it doesn't sound like your doing much heavy hauling it shouldn't matter. Also, ford did some upgrades to the E4OD in 94 I believe, just not sure when exactly or which upgrades for sure.
