The only negative I can say about Maxlife is that the smell of it is awful lol.

How Lilly would it be that my crank is worn and would need a sleeve to put a new rear main on? It doesn't leak bad right now, and it's original.

Personally, I think using the sleeve is the way to go even if it doesn't have a ridge in it. And you might already know, but you have to use the rubber rear main seal with the sleeve. The Teflon seal will leak if used with the sleeve.

Yea. I got pfte based off putting it on the shaft. I did know rubber was needed if with a sleeve though. Why would you go with a sleeve even if its not too worn?

Guaranteed snug fitment between the seal and crank, which greatly reduces the chance of leaks. Also I believe the sleeve is made of stainless steel, which is much slower to wear a groove in it than the crank would. Cheap insurance if nothing more in my opinion.

Ok. As cheap as it is I don't see why not.

Should I put lock tight between it and the crank?

No, just coat the seal with oil and put threadsealer on the flywheel bolts.
