AAMCO installed a new computer in my 1994 f-150.They didn't disconnect the battery when it was installed.Should it have been diconnected?Is going through the inner fender the only way to access it?

Going through the inner fender is the only way (short of pulling the dash).
If the key is off, there's no power to the computer so disconnecting the battery shouldn't be an issue. Some people might do it "just to be sure" but you should be ok.
