You realize that using that for an excuse for not working on your truck is a sign you're getting older. Not that I blame you - I'm just saying.

It still runs and drives fine until the exact second that it doesn't anymore. Then you could be replacing a tranny with trashed internals, or the clutch could possibly explode.

Not to be a downer but I've known 2 people that put off clutch issues because everything was ok for the most part. Then there were holes in the bell housing and shrapnel coming through the floor when everything suddenly wasn't ok. I was in one of those vehicles at the time. Just cruising down the highway at 55. I piece of the pressure plate shot through the floor and embedded itself in the door. Missed my leg by inches.
