I was wondering if anyone had done a cam swap on their truck with a 5.0 in it. I realize it won't be exactly cheap, but what kind of money did you spend on it? And do you have a suggestion on which one to get?

I had a Comp cam put in to a reman long block in my '95 5.0. Because it was over a .500 lift I had to have better springs put in. Also, had to get adjustable rockers. Then had to cut the baffles out of the valve covers because the rockers hit them. Removing the baffles caused the pcv to have oil thrown right on it so it sucked oil like mad. So then I had to rework how the pcv is run to get it to quit sucking oil.

So basically, just think about all the things that might need to be done because of the aftermarket cam.
