94 F150 AT shifting problem after it was towed
My 94 F150 4.9L auto transmission 195K mile has developed a nasty hard shifting issue when in drive. It started after I had the truck towed (fuel pump issue). The truck was in a tight parking lot and the tow company had a flat bed truck and not much room. We had to use the winch and a lot of brute strength at the wheel to get it maneuvered to where it could be winched up. The truck was in neutral, engine off. Didn't have this problem before. Could all the turning of the steering wheel while in neutral and no power cause a linkage problem or something else that would create the hard shifting between gears in the auto transmission. Everything runs fine with that exception. Thanks for the help.
