Thumbs up 94 F150 4x4 Noise

Sounds like a squeaky squeaky squeaky noise coming from the front end when backing up and going forward without giving it any gas. Seems to go away when accelerating. Maybe the trans axle needs lubing.......? Ive had the truck for almost 2 years and it has lo miles > 119K and this noise is relatively new. Are there grease fittings on the knuckles or ujoints? Looking for an easy cheapfix to shut this noise up. Thanks in advance folks

I would say axle u-joints. My 92 does not have grease fittings. I had all my u-joints replaced. Both axles and drive shaft. Mine squeaked bad when I went in reverse. Sorry Someone else will respond with more info.

deepcreap made a big difference but still has a slight chirp. I sprayed the 3 u's from the transfer case forward and the 2 u's to the rear. Maybe some lithium spray grease would shut it up for good. I really don't feel like replacing them all.........any other ideas

No matter how much grease/lube you try to use, once the needle bearings in a u-joint start to go, there' no fixing it. I'd replace them as you can but I'd do it before winter creeps in on you.

Oh and get joints with zerk fittings for future lubrication.

OK I think I narrowed it down to the noise is coming from the front left brakes.

Replaced the front brake pads and 4 new tires may have done the trick. Ill post up if I still have the NOISE as I haven't had a chance to tool around and inspect. BTW the brake pads we about a 1 hair thick of braking material but no metal to metal!! Just in time.
