Default 93 XL 4.9 I6 Spark Plugs

I was sitting around the house and decided I might try changing my spark plugs to help my truck run a little better so I did some research and basically found that unless I have a $70 broken spark plug remover there's no way of doing it, can someone fill me in on that issue? I don't have much automotive experience and just figured it's be similar to a lawnmower or a dirt bike where you just unscrew and throw out the old and screw in the new

Okay thanks! Yeah, I think I got my 4.9 confused with the 4.6 3V. But alright, I'll remember that!

4.9 is a "normal" spark plug change. Even the 4.6 V8 doesn't need that Lisle tool, it's only needed for the 5.4 TC.
