93 4WD Shifter
I have a 93 F150, previous owner did a 3" body lift, and the 4wd shift lever hits the floor pan when all the way forward for 2wd.
I modified the lever so I now have good clearance about an inch now.
My question, is it normal to only have only about 1 inch of shifter movement from 2wd to 4wd? It seems to operate normally but just checking. It was like this before I modded the lever and it is still the same.
This is my first Ford 4wd and previous vehicles had a lot more shifter movement when engaging the transfer case.
Truck has manual hubs if it matters/makes a difference.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the replies, just checking.
I have a 2wd 92 F150 ...not my first Ford...
And for a few years I had a 95 explorer with a push button 4wd, so that was no help.
Prior to that was an 82 Dodge Ram rustbucket...but it had a healthy travel of on the 4wd shifter.
Glad to know I don't have any issues, some mods were done on the body lift that I am ironing out, was hoping this shift issue isn't one of them. For an older truck and some age related issues, everything seems to work pretty good and the old girl just needs some TLC.
Thanks again...
