Hi I have a 1991 f150. I just put and new clutch in drove for awhile works fine. I left my brother use the truck and it come back with no 5th or reverse but 1st-4th work fine. He said it was the shifter pins and they were bad lots of slope in the gears. So I just put a shifter rebuild kit in it now it's tight in all gears but I still have no 5/R. It's weird cause it will move up into 5th gear but when u let out the clutch nothing...like it's missing something or not hook to anything. Reverse is the same. Can u tell me what that something is and how to fix it??

Have you took off the top cover and looked in side? See any gears bad?

No I have not I was just trying to get some ideas befor I do anymore work I plan on take the top plate off and looking at the forks ( if I can I'm no tranny expert) and I will also look over the gears thank you Sam
