91 300 I6 stumbling, bucking, stalling

Small update on the brake light thing. I looked under the dash and found the brake light switch mounted on the pedal assembly. I traced the green / red stripe wire and found no signs of rubbing, or places it might be shorting.
Starting at the back of the truck I traced the conduit and found nothing out of place.
I got under the cab of the truck and found the conduit again, and what did I see? ONE wire had worked its way out of the plastic conduit and had scuff marks all over it ... the green / red stripe wire!
I could not find any place where the insulation had been worn through, but there were lots of scuff marks . I wrapped up the scuffed areas in electrical tape and tucked the wire back into the conduit.
I have not driven truck much, but it has been rained on, snowed on, and gone through a few temperature swings and the fuse has not blown yet.
With an intermittent problem it is hard to say if it has been solved, but I finally found something that might be the cause.

It has been a little less than a week after installing the replacement PCM, and the truck is running fine. I have been using it exclusivley and no trouble so far.
I just wanted to follow up since I found many threads on different forums, and many times, no one posted the fix.
So if you keep getting weird codes .. check the computer for leaking caps. Resist the urge the throw parts at it.
now .. back to tracking down the reason it is blowing the brake light fuse so often.
