Default 5.8 w/5spd?

I've been eyeing up a 94 flareside 4x4 at a dealership by me and I finally decided to stop and check it out today. I was surprised to find it had a 5.8 with a 5spd behind it. I ran the VIN and the truck started out as an auto, so I'm trying to find out what trans might be in there. Im going back in a few days to look at it again I just want to know what to look for as far as this swap being done right and what trans might be there. Any help as far as what to look for with the swap and any identifying features of the Trans would be greatly appreciated.

Willing to bet it's the Mazda trans, but you're not going to know until you get a look at it.

I'm not really familiar with it honestly. If you could put up a picture of it that would help but off the top of my head I don't know what to look for.

If I remember correctly the Mazda trans has horizontal ribs on the outside. While the hd one has diagonal ribs... Not 100% though
