As the title says I have a 4.9l with dual tanks, and I know/think the front fuel pump went out. Cause I switch to it and the engine dies after about 10sec. Now on the rear tank it started the other night, it started to stutter and fall on its face, so naturally I thought it was out of gas, so put gas in it and still the same problem. I did go out this morning and crawl underneath and I can hear the fuel pump turn on. So I don't know if it is my fuel pumps or maybe the filter is clogged. Any thoughts comments would help.

I have the same issue with my rear tank. The fuel pump is located inside each tank. I'm taking mine to the dealer for replacement - and the warranty.

Yeah replacing them won't be that hard but I just wanted to try and narrow it down before I just replaced everything, might just do it all at once anyways and do the fuel system upgrade at the same time
