So my truck has about 300k miles. The truck shakes at all times, even when accelerating. It never smooths out, even on idle. Is it just the engine calling it quits? It starts with no problems.

That would be where I would start. My 351w has 300k+ miles and that I6 should last longer than mine.

That is a great idea. I didn't even think of that. A mechanic wanted to replace the engine, but I have a hunch. Because the truck starts great. No hesitation.

Also, when's the last time you replaced the plugs wires cap and rotor ?

Maybe if I post a video? The harmonic balancer has no play and looks fine. It seems like way to much shake for it to be the rotor and wires. But it has been a long time since I got them replaced. When I say shake, I mean the truck is shaking. Can the wires really be the cause?

thats called a misfire. The firing order should be checked very carefully.
