i have a 1994 f150 5.0 automatic with 109000 miles. The past three months when i am driving it spits and sputters and back fires through the intake! if you let off the throttle and ease back in to it it gets better for a second then bad again, if you give it full throttle it will face on its face and then take off and run like it should. if it is having one of its spells and i stop and put it in park it will try to die and sometimes dies. Seems like the hotter the weather the more it does it and there is some days it will do it like 10 mins of the 2 hours im driving it and some days it trys to do it all the time! please and help would be appreciated! things i have done plugs wires cap rotor, cleaned maf, checked fuel pressure 36 at idle and 44 under full load full throttle, checked for vaccum leaks. Also when i un plug maf it doesn't die!! should it die when you unplug mass air flow meter? it changes how it idles but not much! can not get any codes read because the check engine light doesn't stay on! thanks ahead of time for your help and input!
