Just an FYI, the connector on the 99-up Explorer fuel injectors are different. Also, if they are that dark yellow/orange color, they are 19lb.

Well, I was going to use my stock 19# ones for the meantime until I get an AFPR and wideband to enrichen it a little bit. But when I got those I was just going to switch to 24# injectors, so you're saying I'll have to find different injectors then? Not a huge deal if I have to, but good thing to know beforehand so I can start looking for injectors.

Thanks!

96-98 Explorer or Crown Vic injectors will plug right in and they have a better spray pattern.

Alright, thanks! I'll probably just use my 19s for the meantime though.

Just wondering, but would anyone perhaps know what the body code 'DB4' stands for on my door jam sticker? I've been searching all over the place to find what color my interior is, it's driving me crazy!! From what I've gathered, the body code is what determines that, so can anyone please help me figure that out??

Thanks!

Btw, I'll post pictures of the explorer motor once we get an engine stand so we can put it in our garage.

EDIT: Does anyone know what size bolts, and thread pattern are needed to hook an engine stand to the 302 block?

7/16x14 bolts. They are the same thread as the head bolts.

Alright, thanks. Hopefully we'll have the engine by Friday. Then I'm going to clean it up, and maybe paint it. Not too sure yet.

Took way longer to get the engine than I thought but atleast it's finally here now. The injectors are a light yellow, going to have to assume they are 19#s then?

Thanks!

So guys, figured I would post an update on everything. Engine is in the truck, and it's running! The headers I ordered are requiring some tweaks to my stock y-pipe, so it was started on open headers. I also have to buy new water pump since mine is just spewing coolant for some reason. Theres also 90* ends that are going to have to be put on my accel wires but I anticipated that, oh well. It's been a very expensive project, still having to hook my wideband o2 up, and tranny coolant temp gauge but that's another project for another week!

There were several issues with the swap (can't recall all from my memory) but I won't post them, doesn't seem like many people care too much about this swap. If anyone wants to know, i'll post up all the issues we ran into!

Thanks!
