Default 1989 5.0 running issues

So new to me 89 F150 5.0. I've replaced FPR and TPS so far as both were bad, so far. Then, as the truck got hot, it ran worse and worse. Swapped the TFI/ICM with another used one I had and was better. Now, when it gets hot, it still starts to run rough, but not nearly as bad as before. It will occasionally lose some power or act like it's missing while cruising, and when going to neutral after driving a while, idle drops real low and it may or may not stall as the ECU tries to raise the idle. Flooring it briefly seems to clear it up for the moment...
So, does it sound like I might need a new coolant temp sensor? Or maybe a brand new TFI?
Second question is TFI quality. Are PerTronix or Accel any better than the generic auto parts store ones? Same question with coils, if that might be my problem..?

Thanks!
