That JBG kit from broncograveyard.com looks decent. Comes with caster/camber adjuster bushings too! Looks like the kit is for a 4x4 though. The f250 springs I found for about 70 bucks and a bushing set for 2x4 runs $55ish. Seems to be the norm for something like that. Shops might charge 3 or 4 hundred to install but it looks simple, especially on a 2 wheel drive.

i believe the steering was all the same for the f series. even if its not, you dont need to replace the pitman arm. the factory steering will work fine. I am doing this upgrade myself but i am using the springs method all the kits i have seen are spendy, but you can get yourself some moog 844 springs on amazon for i think 60- 75 dollars, sweet deal id say. good luck

moog 844 250 springs will work. you just need to install them and do an alignment then walk away. anything more then about 3" in the front will req you to get drop brackets, pitman arm and new shocks.

i think well over half the people on here who have leveled there trucks have used 250 coils and have had 0 issues.

I'd look at the moog cc824, will give the same lift but still have some movement available up front. Google " moog coil spring specs" you can find a link to a pdf from moog listing specs for all the coil springs they make. CC818 - cc844s are for our gen f series. The spring rate for the 44 is double the 24. My .02

Edit. Most regular cabs came oem with the equivalent of 18 for 4wd and 20 for 2wd.

I've never towed anything more than 3500 lbs (a pop-up camper). It towed just fine. Only has a 300 straight six, so going up hills I had to drop it down a gear a couple of times. no biggie though. the ride is not very smooth, but it was like that before the lift kit install. It's a work truck, and to be honest, when it's towing something or is loaded up, it rides much, much smoother than when it is empty. When it's empty, I feel every bump and crack in the road - but again, it was like that before the install of the levelling kit.

I have f250 coils and shocks under mine. I only got the shocks because they were free but the coils were well worth the money. Not sure of the model of my springs. They came from napa pretty sure these are them. Not posative my dad ordered them.

What's the best leveling kit. 2" kit.-image-1451506132.jpg

About to buy these for my truck. I know that these are better way to go for a quick 2 inch lift or so. Just wondering what I need to do after I install them. Is an alignment from a shop all I need to do? Also my stock shocks will work for these also? Thanks.

just an alignment, you will probably need new camber bushings also but the shop will get them and install them.
