It took me a little over 40 hours... but the 4" lift is on! A few followup thoughts.

Evening Fellas,

Was able to get upper ball joints replaced. Rented a BJ press from Advance auto (instead of autozone) that contained a few more useful cups. Cranked down on the upper BJs real tight and then smacked spindle with 3lb sledge. A bit of smoke/dust and they popped right out. Went ahead and replaced tie rod ends as well. Truck drives great.

While under the truck I noticed that I had mounted one of the I beam axles into the 6" lift hole by mistake. I moved it back to the 4" hole after deciding that it made more sense to lower the rear (to level the truck) than to install spacers in the front. Think it turned out pretty good!

Only thing left to do now is improve upon the steering slop. The wheel doesn't track straight or return to center and tends to have 3" of play. I've checked all tie rods and drag link, they all seem fine. I'm taking it for an alignment tomorrow, so we will see what they say.

Took a few (10+) hours and removed the clear coat on the wheels to clean up all the oxidation (appears as white rust). Wire-Wheeled, Sanded, and Polished up with Mother's Aluminum polish and they look pretty good.

Thanks all!
