Default Suspension upgrade

Hello all, I would like to attempt to take my 91 f150 stock suspension and go to a 1 ton or 3/4 ton any idea on what to do, and or what to stay away from.

If you want a truck that is legally rated at that weight, you need axles that you would find under an F250 or F350. If you just want the suspension, you can get away with some F250 coil springs up front and an add-a-leaf in the rear.

You can buy 3/4 ton front coils, but going to leafs requires some major frame modifications. Your frame was not designed for leaf springs up front.

I have F250 coils in the front of my truck. Easy to install, lift it a little bit, all that good stuff. Plus the firmness is welcomed, no bouncing around

Ok, I'm not looking to boost the gvwr. I just want her to not squat as much when I haul a little so I guess the next step would be overloads ?? how hard is that to do ??

Not hard at all. If you have the factory ones the holes are already drilled in your frame.
