Default Shock Replacement - 1995 F150: Rancho or Monroe

Hello all,

I plan on replacing the shocks on my 1995 Ford F150 and was wondering which of the two shocks I should purchase:
1. Rancho RS5000
2. Monroe Reflex
3. Monroe Gas

I don't plan on going off road often, except for hunting. This vehicle is also not my daily driver.

Please let me know your thoughts, thanks.

They're all pretty good shocks. Unless you're into really serious off roading just good shocks will do you. But no point going overboard. I found Monroe gas matics worked real well for me.

I had the Monroe gasmatics on mine when I bought it. They rode nice but were a little soft for me. I put some KYB Gas a just Monotubes on it. Still give a good ride but quite a bit less bounce.

You can get factory Motorcraft shocks from RockAuto for a good price. That's what I went with. I put Monroes on my Camry since OEM would have been super high.
