Rattle noise over bumps
Okay so after a lot of searching I finally fixed an ANNOYING rattle from the front end over bumps....I looked at everything-shocks, ball joints, half shaft ujoints....ended up being the brake caliper hitting the front bracket. The 1992 f150 uses a slider pin that has rubber between the two halves. Well it must have shrunk a little bit to allow the caliper to move up and down enough to make one hell of a rattle over big and small bumps. I feel kind of silly that it took me this long to find it .
Just thought I would take a few mins and share my find...
Don't know why I still drive this old girl.....but I still do

Yea my truck has been making a rattle over bumps, driving me crazy. I've tightened one caliper in a job I was doing last weekend, but not the other side. I have bolts, so ill just check and tighten if necessary. Thanks for the post!

Drive like you stole it
To add: modifying your brakes using anything other than OEM or a reputable aftermarket part is stupid and dangerous! You found a worn part which caused a rattle.... Great, go buy a replacement part!
