Parking brake sticking

Parking brake sticking
I just got a 1996 F150 XL 4.9L and after the truck sits for a few days with the parking brake set, the parking brake sticks. Once I release the parking brake, give the truck some gas until it starts moving slightly, the truck bumps forward and the brake releases. It doesn't happen if I drive the truck, park it for an hours or whatever and drive again though. Any ideas what the problem could be? Could I maybe spray some WD-40 on something to free it up?

rear wheel house's the parking brake .. look at where the cable enters the drum/rotor assembly ...there is a lever that gets actuated each time you apply the parking brake. this level and it's parts gets corroded.. you can a. shoot some WD-40 in there b. take it apart and clean or c. replace.
