Default Parking Brake Sticking!

Anybody have problems with their parking brake getting stuck? Seems like when the weather gets a little colder, not necessarily freezing, my parking brake seems to stick. I can get it unstuck by going back and forth a bit, but it's sure a pain! Any ideas?

I had the same problem with my truck months back; so I would leave it in gear instead of using the park brake. When my rear end(2.73)finally crapped out on me(it started whining and on its last leg, spewed out gear oil) I replaced it with another rear end with 3.55 gears and the problem with the park brake was gone...

Yep - main cable from the e-brake pedal back to the 'Y' split had corroded / crudded up. Rather than trying to work with it, just bought a new cable from lmctruck.com. Suggest to find a friend to exercise the pedal while you figure out where things are binding up - then lube or replace pieces/parts at your disgression.

Also want to pull your brake drums and make sure all the e brake parts in there are moving freely.
