Default lower coil spring mount loose after leveling kit

I installed leveling spacers on my 94 f150 4x4. The lower coil spring retainer/mount gets held on by the lower spring nut. Once the nut is loosened, the mount can be removed from the traction beam showing only threads left behind. While installing the bolt extenders, i noticed about 1/16" between the traction beam and the lower spring mount. No matter how hard i torqued the thread extender, there was still a very small gap that wouldnt close until the weight of the truck was resting on the springs. I havent been able to drive the truck yet due to waiting on tires but it seems like any bump will cause a rattle noise if left like it is.
If anyone understands what im talking about, is the lower nut supposed to tightly hold the lower mount to the traction beam or does the weight of the truck hold it together?
