Loud knock/pop in front suspension
Lately i have been hearing a loud knock/pop coming from the front suspension of my 96 F150 XL whenever i hit a bump on the drivers side. At first i thought i had a bad shock but when i jacked up the front end to check, all the shocks were still good and tight. Im' not working at the moment so i can't afford to take it to have it looked at and with my mechanic friend busy with work then i cant have him look at it either. can anyone tell me what it might be coming from? the only things i'm aware of that make noises like that are tierods and ball joints but im not sure about how to check if they are bad or not.
Here's a run-down of the symptoms:
-pop sound when a bump is hit
-occasional pop when turning from one extreme to the other
-bad vibration when driving over 40 mph

I had a radius arm bracket that was rusted/broken that allowed the bushing to move around a lot caused a popping during stopping and speeding up as well as hitting bumps.
