Default Lift & Wheels/Tires for 94 4x4

I have a 94 4x4 that my vinyl wrap company is planning to do up for a show piece next season. We are looking to order a set of wheels and tires as well as a lift, if needed, but we don't know much about trucks. We normally work with exotic supercars so trucks are new to us.

The truck is a 94, 4x4, long bed, regular cab. What kind of lift and what size do I need in order to fit a nice combination of wheels and beefy tires. What sizes wheels and tires should we go with as well? We've ordered all of the replacement lighting and other parts but need to get our order in for suspension and shoes. Any and all helps is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

A Rough Country 6" suspension lift with 35"x12.5R15 tires with some procomp 1069 15x10" wheels would do the trick, and would not break the bank. You need wheels with 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. And you will need extended brake lines and sway bar drop brackets which will be available from rough country as well. If you have the quad shock setup up front then you will need to add those additional shocks as well.

4wheelparts has great deals on wheels and tires right now. You could probably do it all for about $2500 not including labor. If you have a bigger budget, I can point you to much more luxurious options.

31/10.50 fit stock. A front end levelling kit would get some 32's under there fairly easy. For 35" tires you'd need a 4" to 6" lift kit.
35's will make it look big and bad, but you'll want to think about steps on the side, otherwise it's just stupid to get in and out of.

I really have no idea how big I want to go. The truck is mainly going to be a promotional show truck but I will be driving it in the winter when it snows, etc.

We are trying to keep the budget to a minimum, though. I don't necessarily need to do a lift at all, but I think it's probably best in order to give it a better look. To be honest, I don't even know what it will look like with and without a lift on different size tires. So if anyone can help me out and show me some setups that would be incredibly helpful!

With the recommendations given, it looks like 33's might be a good middle ground. What would I need to do to fit those? And what size wheels should I be looking at? I was browsing around on Tire Rack and they seem to suggest 15" wheels, probably because that is what it comes with. I was also looking at packages on WheelFire.com and they are giving me 15" wheels with 35's but I seriously doubt those are going to fit without a substantial lift.

Well here is my truck with a set of F250 front springs that raised the front end about 1.5" and some newly wrapped 32"x11.5R15 tires on factory alcoa aluminum 15x7.5 wheels. 33's will not fit without substantial rubbing - needs a 4" lift. Something also to consider is your engine, your transmission (manual or automatic) and your axle gear ratios. If you are running a 5.0 with an automatic transmission and 3.08 gears, its going to be a real dog with 33's or above without re-gearing both axles, and that costs major $$$$.

I have the 6 cylinder with an automatic transmission. I definitely want to avoid major money in that regard. So with all that being said, what would you recommend for the lift, the wheel size, and the tire size?

Your truck doesn't look too bad, but I would want a more aggressive sidewall.

Thanks!

Do you know what gears you have? If you have access to the truck look at the VIN sticker on the door jamb for the axle code - should have a number like 17, 18, 19, or maybe H8 or H9.

And by aggressive, do you mean you want more tire, more wheel, or you want it to stick out farther from the wheelwells - actually clarify all of those for me lol.

I won't be able to look at the truck until this evening when I get home from work.

I mostly meant an aggressive sidewall. Since the truck will be a promotional show piece, I just want tires that will look beefy, look good. I will drive it in the snow so I want them to perform good, too. But it's far from a daily driver. It will essentially be a promotional truck that I only drive to shows, in bad weather, and the VERY occasional trip to pick up something that is too big to fit in the trunk of my car.

Go to google, search for lifted 94 f150, or 94 f150 lift kit. Find what you like and post the pics here. These guys can tell you what lift it is, tires, etc. You'll see some that have tires sticking way outside the bed (large negative offset wheels), or try to tuck as much as possible. The possibilities really are endless. What color is your rig?
