3" / 2" body lift?
Wondering if anyone has one?
I'm looking at buying a 3" Performance Accessories body lift but I don't want that bumper gap crap. Curious as to how anyone else is running them.
I sent an email asking if they come with bumper relocation brackets but no news back yet.

the front bumper you can get a bracket, the rear bumper there are several methods.
1. drill holes 3" higher in the frame for the bumper mount.
2. make your own.
3. flip over the bracket and somehow that gets it closer to the body.
iv not done any of those, nor have i done a BL but i looked into it at one point.

Thanks for the response Cam, useful as usual.
EDIT:
Ever get a quote on labor to put one in?

I've considered the option of levelling my truck with add-a-leafs on the front and rear but I'm not sure how well that would look compared to a BL

uhhh tough call, my truck had a level when i got it, i was happy for about 2 months then i wanted to go taller. now that i have a 4" i wana go up to a 6" lol.
and on that truck, its all body bolts, then the 4x4 shift linkage needs to be extended and possibly the steering shaft, maybe 25% of people who do the BL need to extend the steering shaft.
you also got to think, a 4" lift is like $800 with steering stabilizers, and sway bar drops, if you install your self. a set of leveling springs are i thin $140 ish and your truck will ride rougher.
pic of my truck the day i got it with leveling springs.

I put a 3" on a 07 chevy 1500 and i never had done one before. It took me an afternoon to do it minus the bumpers. I did not have relocating brackets so I made all my own. It wasnt my truck and the guy didnt care so I went the easiest route and just welded everything in place. The rear though I flipped the bumper bracket upside down and switched sides and it worked perfect.
I plan on body lifting my 93 and I am just unsure if I wanna go 3 or 2 inch. I have the blocks made already but just play it smart and make sure you do it right and make it so it will come back off if you need to or want to.

Yeah my main idea was to do this because I am being a bit cheap.
But if a body lift is going to make my bumpers look like crap I'd invest the extra 800$ to make it work.
I just don't ike the sound of two grand for 4" height and worse mpg than what i'm getting.
