Hard brake pedal

Hard brake pedal
Guys,
I have a 1990 F150, and brake booster isn't working. The brake pedal is very hard to push, and the truck doesn't stop easily with this condition...not good.
I've tested the booster by pumping the pedal, then holding the pedal down while starting the engine...pedal doesn't drop at all.
I also disconnected the hose from the booster to the manifold, and the one-way valve at the booster is working.
Do I need to replace the booster, or is there something else I can try first?
Thanks,
Randy

I would see if you could bleed the brakes and try again. I had that issue when I first bought mine. I bled them and boom it worked. IF that does not work it's time for a new booster. I'd buy the combo Booster Master.

I installed a new brake booster, and all is well. Truck now stops in other words. The booster installation was fairly easy, and the results are amazing.
Nice to have an old F150 that has little rust and is easy to work on. Parts are pretty cheap, too.
Now I have to put it to use.
Thanks for the help,
Randy
