Lightbulb Fixing A Leveling kit.

Hey Guys,

I put a rough country leveling kit on my 94 f150 2WD and isntead of leveling it out, it set the rear end higher and did little for my front end. Im wanting to put Skyjacker shocks and springs up front to level it out and hopefully help smoothen out the ride a little. With the rough country kit that is made for a 4-6 inch lift it looks like it could be as simple as dropping the i beam arms.

My question is with the center drop down bracket being made for a 6in also, could i just drop down the I Beam arms and run the bolt back through the 6 inch hole?

Thanks Guys!

Not sure what your asking here, a levelling kit will lift the front 2" which usually will make it level. Shocks won't affect ride height whatsoever.

As far as a 6" lift it usually contains the drop down bracket with 2 holes, one for 4" lift and one for 6", the springs for whatever size you ordered, radius arm drop down brackets, drop pitman arm, extended brake lines and a block for the rear end.

That makes no sense if you only raised the front end.

It has blocks in then back. It was supposed to be a 4 inch front lift and a 2 block in the back, but it was backwards. Raised the front 2 inch, and the back 4 inches

So it's not a levelling kit then, what size block did you put in the rear?

Not 100% sure off the top of my head. What ever came with the kit from rough country. I believe its the block from the rough country 4 inch lift kit

So now I'm really confused, you put a 4" block in the rear but only 2" leveling springs in the front? Did you install drop brackets for your axle pivot and radius arm or was it just the spring.

I put on a rough country 4 inch lift kit, that was supposed to be a leveling kit. I did install drop down brackets for the radius arms and the axle pivot point. it was this kit http://www.roughcountry.com/ford-sus...it-467-20.html
while it was supposed to be a leveling kit

*** the blocks are 3inch in the back according to rough country's website on the 4inch lift kit.

Ohh okay so you put in a lift kit not a levelling kit. The truck possibly already had 2" levelling coils or rough country sent you the wrong coils, I'd maybe see if there's a part number stamped in the coil to make sure it's the correct coil for the kit.

I didn't order straight from rough country. Went through a 3rd party distributer and they had it listed wrong on their website.
As far as i know/remember the suspension was stock when I installed this kit.

Now IN THEORY putting taller coil springs, shocks, and dropping the Ibeam arms down to the 6inch hole could possible level it out correct?
