brakes do not disengage
After applying the brakes, it doesn't seem to want to release. Doesn't make the truck pull to the side but you can hear it. I changed the caliper for a new one but any new ideas would be appreciated

My son had this with a 1995 Dodge. He replaced several things before he found it was the vac brake booster.
Try jacking up one corner at a time and turning the wheel. Chock the other wheels so it does not roll away on you.

Sticking calipers, slide pins, collapsed flex lines, master cylinder, booster, and there was something that came up here in the last couple of months where he was stuck where he was visiting and I think it turned out to be something to do with the vacuum line to the booster.
I'd look at the sliders first. Then maybe the flex lines.

When my Dad had this truck he had a right front brake started grabbing. I replaced the caliper and all was fine for a couple weeks, then it started grabbing again. I replaced the rubber brake hose and its been fixed for 4 or 5 years without any problems
The rubber hose looked fine and not cracked anywhere. It must have been coming apart on the inside.....

Sorry about the delay in response. I'm on military duty so haven't got a chance to work on it yet. I changed the caliper out for a new one and it didn't fit it. I will try the slides this weekend, I have a new brake line but I really don't want to mess with it until I know for sure its my last resort. I appreciate all the responses

The brake hoses (any type) break down internally and only allow the fluid to go one direction to the brakes. Release does not happen properly.
Put on a new hose and if the issue persists, it is due to pin lubrication or caliper condition.

New to the Forum and love my 2010 F150 but after work was stopped at a stoplight and when I took my foot off the brake it felt like my front driver's side brakes were still engaged. It made a horrible grinding sound. I was able to pull off to the side of the road and call a tow truck. While waiting, I turned the truck off and turned it back on and my brake light went away and I pulled forward about 10 ft. This is a very intermittent problem and has happened twice in the last few months. My mechanic could not diagnose it and could not replicate it. Is this something electrical? I have no idea and might be taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Any advice helps, thanks! And I just had a complete brake job done on the truck 2 months prior.
