This might have been mentioned previously, but are the sway bar links on the front the same for 4x2 and 4x4? Those spring seats with the link brackets look identical to my 4x4. I know the rear links are a completely different shape and length between the 4x2 and 4x4.

The links are different - longer. If you put in a lift kit you need longer links too.

So were there any factory 2wd with sway bar and dual shocks up front? Adventures at local junkyards, close to 100 9th gens every month amongst 3yards, I have noticed 90% are non sway bar single shock. 9% are sway bar single shock, 1% are non sway bar dual shock, not common at all I've only seen a handful my entire life. But never have I seen sway bar dual shock 2wd.

Here is another member with 2WD, single shock, sway bars. His sway bar mounts and links look identical to my 4x4 dual shock sway bar setup. I don't really see why it would be any different with dual shock, you would just need the correct mounts for the second shock.

From a personal opinion standpoint, I'm not sure how much a second shock is going to help for a 2WD. I don't even know how much it really helps on a 4WD. The sway bar will make a world of difference.

Yeah! That's my setup. I actually don't see this setup on my LMC truck catalog. Maybe because its a "utility" bed type truck and needs more beefy suspension? -
