I just ordered the moog cc824 springs from amazon for $70 shipped. Rockauto has them for $59 but you have to pay for shipping. If you are going to buy hundreds of dollars worth of stuff, use rockauto every time. You can usually find 5% coupon codes online as well.

The Moog K80109 bushings you need are about $50 for the pair, and the alignment will cost ~$150 depending on the shop. Make sure they have a tech who knows how to work on a dana 44 TTB. If they hesitate or look at you like you are crazy, find a different shop.

Since the alignment on these things usually costs so much, I'd recommend looking at your tie-rod ends, ball joints, axle pivot bushings, radius arm bushings and brackets - anything related to alignment. Replace if necessary before the alignment.

Would those springs require new shocks?

No, same size shocks. Though when I did mine I replaced the shocks at the same time because you have to unbolt them anyway so might as well replace them.

Moog 824 is what I went with, slightly higher compressed length than the 844 and just a tad softer ride. K80109 adjustable bushings x2, for my RWD, K80108 adjuastable bushings x2 for a 4x4.

As for shocks I used MONROE 5827, they are coil over shock load assisting to help even more since I have the heavier 5.8L. They are the same length as OEM shocks. I also did my ball joints, hub/brake assembly, wheel bearings while I had the front end up just to save time and prevent aligning it twice.

I was also able to do the alignment myself with the adjustable bushings, before I started I measured from back of rear tire to the front of brake rotor crossing the middle of both rotors to ensure accurate measurement. Then just set camber to achieve the same measurement. For caster I just used a level to ensure that the rotor was level. I had to do one minor tweak after the initial drive test but other than that it has been more than a year with no issues or uneven tire wear. What I saved on having a shop do alignment payed for most if not all of the parts so I considered it a free upgrade.

You've got caster and camber backwards there buddy. Typo. I've got the 844's and I'd agree that the 824's are probably a better choice. The 844's are great for cornering but the ride is a little harsh on bumpy roads.

This sounds like a good way to achieve what I'm looking for as well. I want to go a little higher, and was considering a body lift, but I might be satisfied with just getting the front even with the back and some new tires. I'm going to have to do whatever I can by myself in my parking lot.

I've seen some add-a-leaf deals on Summit Racing that might be good later on.

The 824's will level both. The 844's are a heavy dutier spring for f250's but will also work for our trucks. The 844 is stiffer and generally doesn't lift as much as the 824.

I'm surprised it doesn't lift it as much.
