Hey guys I just bought a 95 and was thinking about getting a 4 inch lift on it. This might be a dumb question but when you get it lifted does it lift the motor and everything or just the body? I was talking to a guy from work and he said that if I get it lifted the motor will be sitting 4 inches lower and would be a pain to work on. Never heard of this but I don't really know anything about this stuff. Thanks

A body lift will raise only the body of the truck off of the frame. This allows clearance in the fender wells for larger tires; however, the frame, engine, and transmission do not get lifted.

A suspension lift will adjust the geometry of the truck's suspension to raise the frame and everything connected to it.

Personnaly, for the time and effort I would use a suspension lift.

What size tires are you planning to use?

Thanks. That's what I was thinking but wasn't too sure. Can't decide between 33's or 35's

Rough Country 4" lift is a good deal. Get the one with the rear springs, not just rear lift blocks if you can afford to - that's a good deal on new rear springs. Also look for the "shock upgrade " option. Just a little more for their best shocks while you're getting the kit.

Where can I find the kit the cheapest and how much am I looking at?

Check craigslist for used kits, sometimes there are extremely good deals there. Otherwise just use the company website. Here is a picture of my 95 with a 4 inch BDS kit and 35's
