Default 1994 XL 4x4 w/4" lift & 2" leveling kit

I did my due diligence and searched the forum for the information I'm after. No go. Can't believe I'm possibly the only one with this question. Oh well, it is what it is.

I put a 4" lift all around on my 1994 F150 XL 4x4. Didn't like the forward rake, so added a 2" leveling kit.

Before the kit, I did not notice any unwanted noise coming from the front end. After the kit I did/do.

I wasn't feeling warm fuzzies when I saw how the leveling blocks kinda just sit on the coil spring pad on the axel. So, I made certain I put the right torque on the nuts.

I also don't like the angle the coil pads are at after the 6 inches of lift. Here is a picture of what I'm refering to.

I suspect the coil hits the shock tower on medium to hard hits and that the coils moves on top of the leveling block.

Anyone else experience this?
Should I be concerned about the coil pad angle?

Why not pick up 6" springs?

Default Thanks

I called Rough Country the other day and the plan is to order the 6" coils.

To my main concern; do you believe the coil pad being at such an angle is a problem?

I'm gonna find a stock 94ish 4x4 and look to see if the angle was worsened by the lift or if it is the same.

Thanks for the response

I don't like how it looks but that doesn't mean it's a problem.

It would be hard to change.
I'll see how the 6" coil springs do.
I have an idea or two to level things out.
Heck, if the new coil springs don't hit anything, I'll just leave it alone. Or, try to leave it alone.
