Default 1990 f150 4 inch lift

ok i have looked around and could not find any answers to this. i recently bought a 1990 xlt lariat 4x4 and was wanting to put in a 4 inch lift so i can mount 33x12.50/15 tires. currently it has 31x10.50/15 on it now. the kit i am wanting to get is from rough country suspension, and the rear portion of the kit has 3 inch lift blocks. the truck already has the factory spacers between the leafs and axle that give it 2 inches of lift. my question is, do i take out the factory 2inch and put in the aftermarkets 3 inch blocks or do i keep them both and stack them for a total of 5 inches. any help would be greatly apreciated.

ok, my next question is.......is stacking blocks safe. forgive me for asking, just trying to learn. the way the rear of the truck sits right now, i could mount 33x12.50s on with no problem of clearance.

nice truck!! I personally dont like stacking blocks. think of it like stacking lego, stacking them makes it more unstable... i think your truck will sit *** end up with 3 inch blocks.my add a leaf lifted it 2 inches about and it sits a tad high in the rear. stacking blocks also may lead to axle wrap.

Are you sure about stacking them because that doesn't seem right to me, im almost positive you replace the stock block with the new block

If it's a 3" block with a 4" lift I'm pretty sure you replace the stock block also.

My truck came with a 3 inch block and I bought an add a leaf and used the 3 inch block (took stock out) And add a leaf and it sits level. It would only raise the back 1 inch over stock then if you just put the 3 inch block on there. If you stack them then you get a 1 inch lift in back and 4 in front, usually the back is an inch or 2 less of lift since it has rake to begin with. Otherwise you would get a 1 inch lift in back and 3 in front if you took out stock block and just used the 3 inch one... idk maybe i am wrong but it makes sense to me...
