Underdrive pullies and roller rockers
I have a 93 f150 5.0. I've put LT headers and full exhaust, intake tubes off a 94 model with a cone fiter, and converted it to an electric fan. I was thinking of buying some March underdrive pullies off summit, some brands claim between 12-15hp gain at the wheels. Sounds a little high to me. If I were to get a set i would probably go with the summit brand aluminum set because they're just under $100 and aluminum. Wondering if anyone has underdrive pullies on their truck now, how big a difference it made and what brand of pullies seems to be best? And the same thing with roller rockers, i was thinking of getting a set of 1.7 ratio roller rockers form TFS (pedestal mount type), and wondering if anyone had done this and how big a difference that made? My goal is theoretically 240hp at the crank with these two last things. I estimate i make possibly 220hp right now, using one of those 1/8th mile to hp calculators. Said about 225hp so i said 220hp to be conservative

Under drives don't make power, they free up power that's being robbed from the engine. Same for the electric fans. I don't know what else you have into the engine but I would do more than just under drives and rollers. If your building or planning on building a high hp/torque monster, Get a good, well planned budget first then decide what priorities you have, that should give you a good base for your shopping.

to be fair, i didn't see anything about "not getting to deep".
under drive pulleys help a little but i dont think they change your HP at the crank. they will just lessen the loss to the back wheels.

How would underdrive pullies change horsepower at the wheels and not the crank????? That doesn't even make sense! To get more power off the wheels without increasing power at the crank you would have to lose drivetrain loss. And UDP's have nothing to do with anything but accessory drag on the motor :0
