Default Spark Plug Threads

So I had the problem a while back where the spark plug threads get worn off and the plug shoots out. My question is when they fix the problem how do they do it? I am about to change my plugs and coils and wonder if there is something different from normal that I will have to take into account with that plug when I change it? And is there a way to tell which one it was? Because I have no idea which one it was.
