Default Question on a 351w build

I have a 95 f150 with a 351w, I'm looking into building it into a 393 stroker and going carbureted. Has anyone does this before? If so what will I need? I know I'll need w obvious intake and carb also I'm running an e4od trans so I know I'll need a stand alone computer for it. But what else would I need to make te switch from efi to carb?

i would imagine you need to make sure the carb you get has the kickdown option for automatic transmissions

you may have to switch the ignition system to vacuum controlled as well something like duraspark2 i believe

I'm kinda just spitballing here, but I THINK if you could figure out how to mount the TPS to the primary shaft of the carburetor, the trans. would have all the info it needs to shift properly. Mount it on a plate with slotted holes so its adjustable, as its positioning is the key factor in determining the shift points of the trans. You will need to keep your MAP sensor as well, of course. As mentioned above, you will need a non-computer controlled ignition system. You will have a check engine light, but it will be due to engine related values being out of range. I think the trans will work fine. If you pursue this effort, keep us posted on how it goes. I think these types of projects are interesting and fun.

P.S. Does the E4OD use a throttle pressure (kickdown) rod / cable? Off the top of my head, I don't think so.
