Putting a H.O. 302 where a non H.O. 302 used to be
I have a '90 F150 302, 4x4, 5 speed. Motor is tired and blew a headgasket. I'm in the process of rebuilding an '89 H.O. 302 for it. I've heard many different answers to the question "what about the firing order?". Some people say it will run just fine with all of the stock fuel injection and computer. Other people say i need to get all of the mustangs system to make it work.
From what I've read, F150s with 302s in '94-'95 had the H.O. firing order and were mass air flow systems. Soo if i get a computer and harness from a newer truck, wouldn't that solve my problem? Do i need to worry about it at all?
