I put long tube headers on my 96 f150 with the 5.8 engine. The headers don't have a egr bung and my buddy's saying I'll be fine running it without the egr and my other buddy's saying after awhile it's going to start messing things up. Need help!!!! I know I'm going to get a cel Thanks

Nope, won't mess anything up. I have no EGR on my 96 5.8 and it's been fine the whole time I've owned it. Only sign of it not working is a fault code in the computer for "Insufficient EGR Flow" and the check engine light would be on except I removed the bulb.

Did you remove it or did someone else? I got a block off plate for it but do I block the vaccum lines too or what?
