Hi ya'll, I just got a 1985 F150 lariat 5.0 efi. It has been sitting for 4 years. nothing in gas tanks. I put 5 gal of gas in both tanks. It fired right off putting gas directly into carb/fuel injection port? anyways it ran good for 30 seconds. we did this 10-15 times but can't get any fuel from the tanks. There is a switch located in the heater/AC controls for the tank switching. The gage doesn't read any gas at all on either tank. So, I am thinking I need to see if the fuel pump is working but I am not sure where it is on an 85. I know the newer ones are located in the tanks. I am wondering where the filter is and the fuel pump for my 85 are located. I will do the test and see if there is any fuel coming from the line at the motor but at this point I think I need to check the filter then the pump. Help please.
