Hi, im new here , i recently brought a 90 F150, it has an intake with a 5.0 script, but the vin identified it as a 5.8, also the hood decal is for a 5.8. I purchased a exhaust manifold for a 5.0 before checking the vin and after seeing the 5.0 script on the intake i just took for granite. Thr exhaust manifold dont fit so im sure its a 5.8. My question is would their be a reason that someone would swap plenums, i dont know why they would have done this, any ideas. Thanks.

I would think to make a sleeper, ya know engine says 5.0 but it's way more powerful. The uppers do interchange but wouldn't be very efficient as the 5.0 has square ports vs the 5.8 having round ports. Wouldn't line up very well. It's surprising what a simple minded person will do!🤔
