Fuel pressure or throttle position sensor are the first things that come to mind.
I have gone through the experience where a brand new pump wasn't putting out enough pressure - 2 weeks old and it was only pumping 20 psi. You can imagine that we went through everything else first -" it's a new pump so that can't be the problem, must be something else". Live and learn. The only way to test for adequate pressure is with a fuel pressure gauge. Some pressure isn't good enough - there has to be enough pressure.
The fuel filter can cause pressure problems too, as well as the "other pump" in a dual tank system, if it has a bad check valve that drops your pressure too. If you have dual tanks.
As for the TPS, you can check that with a voltmeter - should get a reading of about .9, that increases and decreases steadily as you move the throttle, all the way to about 5. at WOT.
After that there are a few different things that can go wrong, but those are the most likely 2.

It has a new motor new trans put about 20,000 miles on it. At about 10,000 miles it developed a hiccup a miss. Put new wires plugs cap rotor buton coil never changed a bit. All this was replaced when i had moter rebuilt by a repudable shop in memphis. it was not a bad miss but i could feel it most at 40-45 if i would step on the gas it would go away as soon as speed plained out it would come back

well i did fuel pressure test it said it was 40-42 but i had to turn the key of and on 3 times to get it there 1st time it went to around 10 turned key off then on again it went from 10 to 28 then off & on and got 40-42 like it had to build up pressure is that normal? Now it wont start or it starts but sounds like its starving for fuel and then dies within 4 seconds
