5.0 engines are plentiful. It doesn't necessarily have to be out of another f150. You could always change you intake over to the new engine.You not needing a high performance application, you can use any efi 302. change over the sensors, your intake, and belt drive the there you go.

You can also find one out of a mustang, tbird or a crown vic, below the lower intake the motors are the same, the only issue is the crossover tube on the back of the heads between vehicles, but I think almost almost all heads have the provisions for the tubes.
