i got headmen headers with out the egr bung on them. and im wondering if anyone on here got headers like this before and installed a bung or ran it with out the egr. wondering what was used for the bung or how to go about deleting the egr without it screwing with anything. thanks

I had my Cat Converter and EGR deleted. can get a better picture tonight as I don't have the truck with me. This is on a 460/7.5L

Deff get some pictures if you can? And how's the truck run with out the egr and how'd you delete it?

The truck runs great, I'm not sure how is was deleted. The performance shop did it but apparently it was easy, they only charged me an hour of labor for it.

Interesting. My buddy's telling me that my truck going to run like ****. If you can get some pictures of that, that would be sweet.

What year is your Truck? Mine is a 1994 and pre OBDII. The emissions deletes don't work well on OBDII trucks but it can be done. Not sure when the OBDII was introduced but if your has it the truck might throw an engine light.


Not sure on emissions where you are but here in Alberta there are no rules or checks. Without EGR and the cat I gained a noticeable increase in power. The only draw back it the exhaust will smell like raw gas but that's more from the cat removal.

It's 1996 obdII. I got emission where I'm at. I don't really care about the cel on nd my cats are already off.
