hard starting
Hi i have a 1990 ford with a 5.0 with EFI and its hard to start. when trying to start it acts like its not getting fuel, to get it going i spray some fuel down the intake and the engine fires up and runs fine. if anyone has some advice on where to looking for the problem that would be awesome

Could be it's not priming the fuel system. When you first turn the key on you should hear the pump run for a couple of seconds.
Best way to check the fuel system (the only way to check it properly) is with a fuel pressure gauge. That will tell you if it primes, if it produces enough pressure, and if it holds pressure. Key on engine off you should have 40 to 45 psi (30 to 45 is the range but low 30's indicate a problem. It should hold that for at least several minutes. Then drop 5 to 8 pounds at idle, climb back up as throttle is opened.
