gt40 heads
I have a 94 f150 5.0 it needs head gaskets bad, not my daily driver. I know someone that has gt40 heads and he also has the whole intake set up including the throttle body. will this be a direct bolt on to my truck? it is the 5.0 that has the roller motor. 224,000 miles

Mustang fan here.... and not as familiar with the F150. The intake for the F150 would need to be used unless you were to custom fab hoses and throttle cable.
Also, are you sure these are GT40 and not GT40P heads?

they are the GT40P I couldn't remember the letter after GT40, the upper and lower intake are different on the f150s than mustangs. the mustang upper intake won't bolt onto the lower intake of a f150. I can probably go buy some tubing and fab a air intake tube. do you think I'd be able to use the Mustangs air intake?

Just so you know, the spark plug angle is different on the P heads. You may have issues clearing the exhaust manifold. The easiest thing to do is for you to use both the upper and lower from your F150.
Which Mustang intake is it that you are thinking of fabbing up to work? Maybe I can help a bit more by knowing that.

OK, that intake is actually an Explorer intake. I have an Explorer lower on mine. Just an FYI, that if you do use that intake, you'll need to either drill and tap a home for your ACT sensor, or move it to the black intake pipe.
That said... you can actually flip that intake so that the throttle body sits on the opposite side. However, I think you're going to run into a mess getting the EGR to work, etc. You would be better off either porting and polishing the F150 intake. You're really not going to get it to breathe much with the F150 cam anyway.
Does your F150 have two throttle body's?

Also... the P heads do not have the emissions ports on them. So the pipe on the back of the heads will not do a dang thing. This is the pipe that is part of the smog system, and the smog pump pumps air in through that pipe. I simply eliminated the use of that pipe all together, and made it look like it was doing something because Utah has a visual inspection.
